This leading marketing communications agency is currently seeking an Account Director with a strong background in face-to-face communications / event planning & management to join its client services team.
 
The agency’s offering focuses on the creation of a range of marketing programmes that cover the following disciplines: sales promotion, experiential and channel marketing; media relations and PR; event marketing; 2D and 3D design; new media and NPD. They hold an enviable client list across blue-chip FMCG, fashion and entertainment brands.
 
This role is to work on a high profile drinks account and you’ll be strategically planning and overseeing the implementation of a number of events across the UK.  You’ll report into the GAD and also manage a Senior Account Manager and an Account Manager.  Key skills should include very strong strategic brand awareness and the capability of organically growing client accounts.   You won’t be directly involved in project management of the events as this will be handled by the event production team, however you will be involved from an overall client services perspective.
 
You’ll have at least 4 years event planning & management experience with a specific background working with FMCG brands, ideally alcohol. Strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets is a must as is the ability to work to very tight deadlines.  You must also demonstrate an analytical mind.
